  • Comer Children’s Hospital & Center for Children: Built in 2004 ($132M) and expanded in 2006 ($49M), the Comer pediatric teaching hospital and clinics at the University of Chicago are designed to provide the most advanced care for children in a family‐centered environment. The facility is a specialized pediatric care facility that encompasses 393,000 gross square feet (or 191,000 net assignable square feet) and includes 137 pediatric beds (including 47 NICU beds), dedicated pediatric emergency room, specialty care clinics, cancer clinic, 5 operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab, radiology, and ancillary support.
