Blood Bank to be Temporarily Relocated
The University of Chicago Medicine will temporarily relocate the Blood Bank on the second floor of the Center for Care and Discovery from Room 2-730 to Room 2-430. The temporary relocation is a result of the construction taking place on the third and fourth floors of the CCD. Operations in the temporary location will begin Friday, April 8. The relocation is scheduled to be for six to eight weeks.
Transitioning into the temporary location will be a four-day process starting Monday, April 4 thru Thursday, April 7. The Blood Bank will maintain 24/7 operations during this time.
Signs will be posted in the area to remind staff of the change and redirect them to the temporary location. The general telephone number to contact a member of the blood bank staff will remain the same. That telephone number is 773-702-6827.
The Facilities Operations team will communicate directly with impacted areas and the Medical Center at large to ensure that operational disruptions are minimized.
