CCD Elevator Shutdown to Install Doors
This month, the University of Chicago Medicine is planning for a series of elevator service disruptions in the Center for Care and Discovery (CCD) to install new doors on all of the existing elevators in the building. The upgrades will occur in four phases.
The first phase of service disruptions will take place April 4th – April 9th. It will impact the West Materials Elevators (#95 and #96) on all floors of the CCD. Those elevators will be completely out of service to prevent infection control issues. During this time, all materials transport will be re-routed to the East Materials Elevators (#115 and #116).
The duration of each shutdown will vary. Updates will be sent to inform staff of any changes to minimize staff impact.
Signage will be posted to remind staff of these temporary changes and redirect to the available elevators.
Facilities Operations will communicate directly with impacted areas and the Medical Center at large to ensure that disruptions are minimized. For more information, please contact Susan Ourada, Director of Operations for Facilities Operations PMO at email@example.com.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
