University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences

Now that construction of the University of Chicago Medicine’s largest off-site ambulatory facility is nearing completion, the Medical Center is in the process of hiring top talent to fill more than 80 positions at the Center for Advanced Care at Orland Park.  Positions include outpatient clinic nurses, medical assistants, social workers, staff pharmacists, and ultrasound technologists among others.

“We are working very closely with our human resources partners to identify the best candidates,” said Theresa Quinn, Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations. “We want highly skilled individuals who will help maintain our standard of delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.”

Located at the corner of 143rd Street and LaGrange Road in downtown Orland Park, the 108,000-square-foot, four-story outpatient medical facility will have 80 exam rooms to support such services as radiation oncology, medical oncology & infusion, cardiology, orthopedics and women’s health. Other features include laboratory & radiology services as well as retail operations, a CVS pharmacy and a 530-space parking garage to be developed by the Village of Orland Park. The building will open in late December.

Bob Hanley, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, said the Medical Center seeks people who will be committed to the institution and its growth.

“It is important that the best candidates understand they play an integral role in helping the organization meet new business demands in an ever-changing health care landscape,” he said.

UChicago Medicine will also look for talent when it opens the Center for Advanced Care at South Loop in early-2017. Located on the second level of Southgate Market at 1101 S. Canal St., this will be the Medical Center’s second off-site ambulatory facility.
